More New
Products
As part of our constant quest to bring you the very finest in consumer
fireworks, we are pleased to add 44 new products from the world renowned
Kimbolton Fireworks.
Kimbolton
are regarded as a true institution in the UK firework industry, having
been founded in the 1960s by the Reverand Ron Lancaster, undoubtedly
the most eminent pyrotechnist of his generation and a highly published
authority on all things firework related. Their acclaimed retail range
still draws on this pedigree, with some pieces still manufactured in
England, and the whole range reflecting Kimbolton’s reputation
as a global leader in professional displays.
To sum up,
if you ask any knowledgeable firework enthusiast what their favourite
brand is, more will say Kimbolton than any other brand!
Big Rockets
Still Available
Pining for a giant rocket? We can help! We still have large (1.3G) rockets
available for purchase, but these are now only available for collection
from our premises, as we are no longer able to ship them by courier.
However, whilst we have stock now, the future is by no means clear –
we currently anticipate that we will be able to sell these popular products
until the 31st March 2009, after which point availability will be uncertain.
2008
Deliveries
The first deliveries for the 2008 season are due imminently, with products
from Kimbolton, Fireworks International, and Men Shun all due to arrive
in the next few weeks. Watch this space.
With such
a huge range of products, as ever some will inevitably sell out faster
than we would hope. Whilst we have spent years trying to analyse the
trends, and ordering more of the most popular lines, every year there
are new customer favourites, and so demand is impossible to predict
with 100% accuracy. So if you want to be certain of getting your first
choices, please help us and you by ordering early. You have been warned!
Firework
Shortage? Not Here!
You
may well have heard rumours about a potential shortage of fireworks
this season. Don’t panic – not only will we be fully stocked,
but our range will be wider than ever before. So, what is going on,
you may well wonder?
Due to port
capacity being required for the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the Chinese
authorities instituted an export ban on fireworks between (depending
on the port) June and September. This effectively means that all fireworks
for the UK market had to leave China before June to arrive in time for
the Bonfire Night season. As a major all year retailer, we ensured that
large orders were placed well in advance of other dealers, and this
coupled with the loyal support we get from our suppliers means we are
in a strong position to fulfill heavy demand. Whilst we are confident
in having enough stock, some dealers will no doubt run short –
particularly short term seasonal shops – yet another reason to
support your all year specialist.
