Larger than the average size, and with a good quality wick that catches fire easily, these are highly recommened. Also, they are colourful and made out of a firm, good quality paper. If you happened to be letting one of tonight in Lancaster, I saw you! Did you see mine?

These really are the trousers. Or the pants? If you havn't seen them before, get them!
You set fire to the wick, which looks like a biscuit, or a square coaster, and that burns, filling the paper with hot air that puffs out. The hot air will rise, taking the glo lantern with it, where the light breeze will catch it, and let it drift off as you watch it.

Go with this deal, or the £30 for 10. You need more than one of these!! Once you do one you will want to show the your mates, family, neightbours etc. So buy at least three. Sky lanterns are going to be very popular this year.
The picture shows a blue one, but the colours i got were a light green, a deep ornage, a yellow and a red.
the red and orange glo lanterns look the best, but the light colored one are better for writing on- which can be a nice little novelty for a party, or a wish lantern , which is the traditional Thai lantern concept.
